I spent close to twenty years in Hawaii, before work took me away. Now I’m back, and I’m picking my camera back up and making portraits of people in the light of Oahu.

My background is in photography and visual storytelling. I shot for the military and federal agencies for years, everything from documentary work to formal portraits, and along the way I learned the best photos happen when people forget the camera is there. That’s the whole approach: good light, a relaxed conversation, and a few honest frames.

The free sessions are exactly what they sound like. I’m rebuilding my portrait portfolio at home, you get great photos, and if we work well together there’s paid work on the menu later.
